This children's book happened all of a sudden.
In the year 1968, Beloved Baba told me that I should write a children's book and include certain stories He had given me. And then I forgot.
Very recently, in the year 2002, when Mother B [Barbara Brustman] was in the Trust Office at Ahmednagar, I dictated a story. She observed, "This is a very good story for children."
Immediately, I remembered that Baba had asked me to write a children's book, but I had forgotten.
When these stories were sent to Shiva [Lynwood] in New York City, he suggested that they should be illustrated.
I thought that it is my duty to fulfill Beloved Baba's wish, and therefore, I have written down these stories. Some were told directly by Baba Himself.
They are very good stories, and because they are connected with God, children will be greatly benefited by them.
At the very least, the children will hear the name of Meher Baba. Afterwards, they will try to know more and more about Him. And because of this, I think, Beloved Baba asked me to write this book.
